LA: We never had a television for a while there, so there wasn't very much to do, I guess. So in the evenings we would, we only had the lamp, we never had the electricity at the time either, so it was like more or less a real nice family togetherness there, you know. Because I don't know, I remember those good feelings there. And it was an old pump organ, you know, and my mother would play that a lot. But whenever I would take the violin out my dad would get on the organ. And we'd play a lot, just me and him together. He would show me how to play a lot of tunes and we'd get together. And then one of my brothers would join in with the guitar. And then my sisters would dance. I have two sisters and we used to dance the three of us together.

KP Stepdance?

LA: Yes, stepdance. And we would go to concerts together. It was like a ladder, like I was the smallest one and you know, I remember that so well.

KP: But when your mother played the organ your father would play the violin?

LA: Yes, Of course I would have to do something I couldn't be there just doing nothing. You know me, eh, Philippe. I had to grab the guitar, or I would stepdance, or have to do something, play the spoons, or you know. I just couldn't stay still. I just had to!
