OC: And the most enjoyment I got out of playin' the fiddle was for some of my dear friends that liked the way I played and appreciated that, and I could play all night for them. And somebody that would want you to play and you knew for sure they didn't know what they were – had no idea what you were tryin' to do B But most of the time now – There was a lady not too long ago I met her and she said, "I heard you playin' a tune on a tape, she said "with the Boys in the Kitchen tape." And I said, "Oh yeah, I played a tune with the Boys in the Kitchen.
KP: [To Omar's son Randy] Is that the name of your band?
RC: That's the name of the band, yes.
OC: And she said, "You know, I listened to the tune, and when you were all through playin' it," I said, "That feller knows how to play a fiddle." (laughs) It was the biggest lift I got in a long while, yeah. "He knows how to play a fiddle!"
