CC: Way back on PEI when radio came about, in the late 20s and early 30s, then you'd be speaking of hearing tunes from Sydney, Nova Scotia, and Antigonish. And the fiddlers in those days were were very sharp with the ear, they could pick up the tune quite readily you know. And then having learned the tune by ear, they would practice it and then play it as their tune. And they would in turn share that with other fiddlers. So either by listening to the radio and hearing these tunes, or by listening to these tunes from other fiddlers playing them, then you'd pick up a series of tunes.
