ER: Oh yeah, the house parties. Quite often you'd have the house parties too, especially in the wintertime, break up the winter. Christmas time was a great getting' together. People would go to another neighbor's home for the evening . And there would probably be three or four other neighbors in there, and maybe their wives you know. And they'd talk and probably play cards, and they'd have lunch and there'd be stories told, some of them true and some of them not. And this would include the evening. And they'd wish one another a Merry Christmas and home they'd go. It's simple, wasn't costly, [compared] to something today. And everybody enjoyed themselves back then. So I don't see how a person today could enjoy themselves any better than they did back then, and you can go to a much better, probably in their opinion a better dance today with the money, than you could back then. But you wouldn't have any more fun I don't think.
