HM Repairs and paintin'
DM β¦ repairs of the school, buying school books and pencils for some of the kids who couldn't afford it. Everybody was quite poor. And the church would have β There'd be church dances and that sort of thing. Then one of the things when I was growing up, they had β In Souris, Matthew & MacLean were general merchants there, and they were in the potato business of buying potatoes and shipping them. And during the summer, they had this huge warehouse, and every, I believe it was Wednesday night, there was a dance in the warehouse. And they'd have square dances in the one end and round dances in the other end. And that was quite an event; that picked up people from all over the country, you know.
