Victor: I was in Ontario for a few years and then started to play it [the fiddle] up there again and started to fool around with it. But then when I got home and got married in the late 70s, then I used to go visiting Dad and we'd play the violin together; so it was a great way to communicate. I'd go over and we'd chit chat for a while, and then we'd have nothing else to say. Then he'd go and I'd ask him, "You have your fiddle out Dad," Then he'd say, "Yeah." And he'd run to the living room and he'd bring his fiddle out. He'd always have a few violins there, sometimes I'd bring mine with me. He'd take the both of them out. He'd start to play, and I'd carry on behind until I figured out what kind of tune he was playin', and see if I couldn't learn the tune. If I didn't know the tune I wouldn't play that loud. But that's how I got to learn. And then he'd play the tune and I'd try to harmonize on a particular tune. He liked some stuff that I had learnt and he tried to see if he could learn that. It was great, it was just a great time.
