You just told us a story before about about coming to Glasgow on V-E day. Will you tell us that story?
EA That was about the biggest square dance I've ever played for ... They were there by the thousand, not just by the dozen, but there was a thousand.
KP How did it happen?
EA Well - it so happened that me and a guy from Quebec, we were in a pub there right close to the square and it was on V-E Day. And we noticed there was quite a thing going on down the square. And there was a guy there, he was just playing around with the fiddle and I just asked him if I could play a couple of tunes. So me and that fellow from Quebec and meself, we started to play. And all of a sudden I noticed they were dancing ... well, I couldn't see the end of it. And after a while I said to this guy, "This is too much for us, we'll have to quit or we'll be really in trouble." So we just played for a couple of dances and we took off.
