ST: There was a lot of dances, see. The way the dances are today, they're all Saturday night dances, or maybe Thursday night, or maybe Friday night. They have their special night at some halls. Well, years ago you'd probably get a house dance, two and three house dances a week in different areas. And I can remember, in Bonshaw alone there was a hall, and there was a warehouse on the wharf; the boats run down the river. And there was dances in that warehouse, I can remember my father playing for dances in the warehouse, they loved dancing in them days, older people. And at the Green Road School there'd be dances there every week, and there'd be card parties, but an awful lot of them little communities, there's nothin' going in them today, there's certainly no dances.
