AM Well, there used to be all kinds of house dances at that time in schools. That's all pretty much done away with now. There were only small schools, one room schools, and they'd have dances there through the year. They'd usually dance till 12 o'clock and fight 'til four. So [laughs] that's the way it went then. Near every week there'd be a house dance, somebody'd have a dance, didn't they? There was nothing else to do, you know. There was not much else going on: play cards and dance.
