NM They'd be requested to step dance; usually there was two or three step dancers among the group.


KP I was told they each had their favorite tunes, is that true?


NM Oh yes, most of the step dancers. though, that I can recall asked for Lord MacDonald's Reel.


KP We've heard that. Why do you suppose that is?


NM Oh, they knew the tune and it was a pretty good beat, too. But I notice a lot of step dancers today will ask for Big John MacNeil.
