John J. McPhee's Reel

Hughie McPhee learned this tune, with its irregular high turn, from his father John J McPhee. The low turn probably comes from a pipe march; the high turn is very similar to the high turn of "Jack Tar." Notation for the version played here by Hughie McPhee is in The Fiddle Music of Prince Edward Island.
